Wabi Sauna is inspired by the Japanese aesthetic and philosophical concept of Wabi Sabi, which finds beauty in simplicity, natural, rustic, and understated elegance. To me, saunas are a building that fit this description perfectly. They're a humble refuge; a place to escape the hectic busyness of fast passed life and connect with a slower presence of the moment with nature's five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

I grew with a sauna at my families lake cabin in the midwest. The place and the verb are special to me. I bring this passion to the craft of building/design and my vision for sharing the gift of this charming little building.
